What you’ll do:
- Ensure that the Wholesale routing system is up to date, functional, and aligned with the latest industry standards. Oversee regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
- Configure Wholesale routing system parameters, such as rate tables, quality thresholds, and routing rules, based on business decisions and interconnection agreements.
- Establish regular communication channels with the owners of interconnection billing, rating, and reconciliation systems. Organize periodic sync-up meetings to ensure alignment of systems and operational objectives.
- Ensure the Wholesale routing system seamlessly integrates with other GMS systems like the billing system, SMS gateway platforms, and external carriers.
- Regularly monitor system performance. This includes checking routing decisions in real-time, verifying successful route changes, and ensuring quality thresholds are met.
- Ensure that the system adheres to industry security standards and any relevant regulatory requirements, particularly when dealing with international routes.
- Oversee the storage, backup, and retrieval of LCR-related data. This also involves ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Function as the primary point of contact for any system-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring minimal disruption to routing services.
- Consult with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure system requirements are clear, and performance expectations are met.
- Train other team members on the system’s usage and best practices, ensuring that knowledge is consistently updated and transferred.
- Seek feedback and conduct reviews to identify areas of improvement in the system’s functionality, efficiency, or usability.
What we expect:
- 5 years of working experience in engineering or similar field.
- Deep understanding of billing, rating, routing system architecture, features, and functionalities.
- Ability to interpret system logs, performance metrics, and routing data to make informed decisions.
- Capability to quickly identify and rectify system issues, ensuring minimal service disruption.
- Effective communication skills to articulate system needs, updates, and issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage system upgrades, and integrations.
- Awareness of any regulatory requirements and standards related to SMS routing and interconnection.
- Skills in managing relationships with system vendors, ensuring timely support and service.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.
