GMS, an international messaging services company, took part in the E-shop forum organized by the Retailers portal as a part of the awards ceremony for the “Most Convenient Online Store in Ukraine” contest.

In addition to the award ceremony, participants, company leaders and e-commerce experts discussed multichannel marketing, modern technologies and new opportunities opening to online stores in the era of digitalization.

The so-called problem of ‘abandoned basket’ was one of the most discussed topics on the forum.
Pavel Kravchenko, GMS expert, garnered a lot of attention for his report on the GMS multichannel platform for sending messages – Hyber and on how to use Viber to recover lost customers and increase sales.

“High frequency of requests from companies on the subject of ‘abandoned basket’ demonstrates the relevance of this problem for retailers. A successful case, namely COMFY proved that communication with clients via convenient messenger allows not to only get back their attention, but also to increase the conversion rate,” – comments Pavel Kravchenko. – “So, for example, using Viber-newsletter helped COMFY remind its customers about the forgotten goods in the basket which led to an increase in sales by 10% in 7 months.”

GMS was very glad to be invited to E-shop and grateful to the Retailers for organizing an event where leading players in the field of communications can share successful experiences with retailers and contribute to the development of the e-commerce market in Ukraine.
