GMS is very excited to announce that we have a new member, Chris Almeida, joining our family on Aug 2, as Chief Revenue Officer.
Chris comes to GMS with over 36 years of sales and marketing experience, 25 years in telecom and 15+ years in global CXO roles and leading dynamic international teams. Chris brings a wide breadth of knowledge of the messaging industry, strong relationships with MNOs, service providers and large OTTs, as well as expertise in CPaaS services.
He was previously with Tata Communications Ltd for the past 17 years across many roles, and last served as Senior Vice President, Head of Usage-Based Services (UBS). With Tata, Chris consistently outperformed his goals and led the UBS global sales team to become a global leader in wholesale voice and a challenger in the A2P business.
As our new Chief Revenue Officer, Chris will define the overall revenue strategy and lead the charge on all aspects of driving revenue to the company. This is a pivotal role directly influencing the future of GMS, covering new business sales, installed client base sales and partner strategy.
