BAAR, SWITZERLAND. 18 April 2023 — Global Message Services (GMS), the trusted communications service provider for Enterprises and Mobile Operators worldwide, today announced that Amer Siraj has been appointed as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the Carrier and Wholesale Business. Amer takes up the position of CRO following six years at GMS, the latter two serving as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. Amer will report directly to Charles Upchurch, CEO, GMS.
Amer has more than 22 years of international experience in commercial leadership positions. He has played an instrumental role in fostering GMS’ growth, extending its global footprint to many new geographies and markets while leading breakthrough deals with some of the largest telco groups, wholesalers, and enterprises.
In his new position, Amer will define the company’s overall revenue assurance strategy and spearhead all aspects of revenue generation for its Carrier and Wholesale Business, taking ultimate responsibility for carrier partnerships, wholesale growth, and launch of new MNO/carrier products.
